My cover letter

Dear ______:

My name is Alan Deng and I am applying for PHP Developer, which caught my eye while scanning jobs databases on seek.com.au. I answered this advertisement because I would like to work in a development atmosphere, where I can apply my innovation and creativity to advancing firm's profitability.

I have been programming with PHP for almost three years in Taiwan and have completed many projects.

My former employer was UGA Digital. I was part of a development team that designed and implemented an online PHOTO delivering and printing system. This software has since been licensed and is currently used all around the world. LiBook is a service which can help you print all photos you want to print on internet. The main technologies I used daily are PHP, MySQL, CSS, HTML and AJAX.

I'm looking to advance my Software Engineering career by learning new technologies and completing new and exciting projects. And I am currently studying in English at Curtin and I will keep studying in English.

I'm a hard working and reliable person always looking to grow my knowledge and learn new technologies and skills. I'm sure if I am given the opportunity to meet with you I will be able to tell you more about my achievements and aspirations.

I look forward to meeting with you.

Kind Regards,

Alan Deng

subculture and dress

Discussed subculture on class today. Discovered that people from everywhere have different themes about their own subculture. But I found out that Asians are less creative than Westerns. Although in Japan we have cosplays and 101 hot girls, in Taiwan we have some Punks on the street, more and more club style people now. What I got today are bogan: people like to wear jeans, slipper, shout out and tatoo on their skin; hippy: peaceful, love envirolment and dress colorfully; Goth: like vampire dress; there are still pop,rapper,Rasta,Punk... that I seldom saw when I was in Taiwan. Different education makes people different. Westerns keep their own opinion on what they dress, Asians are more conservative to show what they really are. I think this is a big difference between us.

About Taiwan dresses I search on the internet, there are many different types of traditional clothing in Taiwan: headdresses, kimonos, tunics, and sashes, and even particular kinds of ceremonial wedding dresses. And sometimes we will dress chiang-piaoto to welcome foreign guests on big ceremonies. But I'm wondering what king of dress Teacher Rapheal mentioned on class? C-fu?

beginning

I took this photo from the airplane while landing.

The second day at Curtin in Australia, found the computer lab to use computer, cool!!

These days,a little bit worried about finding jobs,a little bit worried about running out of my money.

I would like to talk about homestay mother, Cath. She is a busy lady, busy with cooking, meeting friends and going to church. She says "Cath's always busy" and "garden is my gym" all the time. Keep busy helps her healthy. Although she is close to 70 years old, she looks still much younger than she really is. I'm so glad that I live in her homestay. We always talk a lot and I often ask her a lot about anything I can do, anywhere I can go, and it's really help! Happy beginning of oz life. Thanks God!
